"Out of the Box" clients still include about 40 boxes to two elementary schools, but we also have a monthly food distribution night at Trinity Presbyterian Church. The people helped by Out of the Box are generally not homeless. They're a diverse group of people who have had their work hours reduced, people who can’t find work, or people who can’t find adequate work – many are families and the elderly. We are funded by a combination of mission money from Trinity, individual contributions, and a FEMA grant. We'd love to do more, but the next 120 boxes each month will require storage, equipment, and more expensive food (since we’re maxed out at our primary source, the Food Bank of Yolo County).
